Search on Summersville Lake

SUMMERSVILLE, W.Va. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources are searching Summersville Lake for a possible drowning victim.

They said a man went into the lake at around 2 p.m. Wednesday but hasn’t been seen since. A search took place Wednesday evening and Thursday but nothing was found. The area being searched is near the Brock Bridge on Route 39.

The Nicholas County Sheriff’s Dept. is also part of the search.
