McKinley holds rolling town hall meeting

GRANTSVILLE, Md. — West Virginia First District Congressman David McKinley took to the road Monday morning with a Megabus filled with college students to hold a mobile town hall. The trip began in Morgantown and ended in Washington D.C.

During a pit stop in Grantsville, Maryland, McKinley said it’s important to take the time to talk with college students about their concerns. He said the bus provides an interactive atmosphere.

McKinley said the town hall very similar to many he has had around the state except this one is on wheels. He said he wants to reach out to younger voters and he is hearing a lot from veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan who are returning to colleges across the state.

WVU student Chris Morlock, who also is an McKinley intern, said he took the bus ride to find out more about the political process.  Tyler Wilson a student at Fairmont State said it was a chance to get out of class and meet a state representative and talk about the current issues facing the U.S.
