Man wounded in Lincoln County domestic dispute

HARTS, W.Va. — A Lincoln County man was taken to Cabell-Huntington Hospital Friday evening with a gunshot wound to the head.

Deputies say the victim was shot by his stepson while the two were engaged in a fight. According to family members the stepfather was under the influence of medication and the shot was fired in self defense. The bullet only grazed the victim’s head.

Deputies say they’ll present the faces of the case to the Lincoln County prosecutor and let him decide if charges are warranted against the stepson.
