Eastern Panhandle drug summit set for Monday

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito will hold a drug prevention summit in Martinsburg Monday.

The summit will feature remarks from, National Director of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Program at the Office of National Drug Control Policy Michael Gottlieb and U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia, Bill Ihlenfeld, among others.

A panel made up of local law enforcement officials, advocates and others will follow, including representatives from the advocate community, FBI, Berkeley County and the National White Collar Crime Center.

The event will take place at the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department at 1:00 p.m.
