Man accused in Hedgesville death waives extradition

FREDERICK, Md. — A North Carolina man charged with murder in the death of a Hedgesville woman waived extradition Monday in Frederick County (Md.) District Court.

The Herald Mail reports James Love, 37, will be returned to Berkeley County to be arraigned.

Police arrested Love last week and charged him with murder in the death of Tracey McCauley, 52.

Berkeley County Sheriff’s deputies discovered McCauley’s body Thursday night after a call from family members.

Deputies said Friday they believe the cause of McCauley’s death to be asphyxiation, but an autopsy has yet to be completed.
