MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – A Maryland man accused of operating a Baltimore-to-Eastern Panhandle heroin trafficking operation was convicted in federal court last week.
Brian Alexander Hall, 27, orchestrated an extensive, heroin distribution network that involved a large group of individuals repeatedly travelling across state lines to get heroin from Hall in Baltimore then returned to locations in West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania to redistribute the drug.
Federal authorities interrupted the operation in June 2015 when 41 individuals were charged in 163-count indictment.
Hall pled guilty to one count of “Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin” on Nov. 4.
An additional 30 defendants have also pled guilty in federal court and will be sentenced in the coming months.
Three of the individuals that participated in the operation have already been sentenced.
Hall faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000.
He is scheduled for sentencing Feb. 1, 2016 in U.S. District Court, Martinsburg.
