Casteel, Kirelawich let go by Rodriguez and Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. — Former WVU defensive assistants Jeff Casteel and Bill Kirelawich will not be returning for 2016 to Arizona’s coaching staff under former WVU head coach Rich Rodriguez.

Casteel was serving as Arizona’s defensive coordinator and linebackers coach, while Kirelawich was the defensive line coach.

Both have been long-time assistants under Rodriguez, dating back to those days at West Virginia.

Arizona was 10th out of the Pac-12 in scoring defense (35.8 points per game) and total defense (466.9 yards per game) this past year.

The Wildcats finished 7-6 on the 2015 season.
