Seven arrested in Lewis County drug sweep

WESTON, W.Va. — A drug bust operation in Lewis County led to the arrest of seven individuals Thursday.

Members of the Sheriff’s Office executed multiple drug related arrest warrants with charges consisting of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Conspiracy, Possession with Intent to Deliver and Possession.

Deputies apprehended Tonya Springer, Mike Louk, Tabitha Bright, Sarah Fallon, Ernie Nicholson, Beverly Yeager and Brent Radcliff II.

The drugs involved in the sweep were methamphetamine, heroin, hydrocodone, lorazepam and marijuana.

“Drugs have historically been the nexus to additional criminal activity,” said Sheriff Adam Gissy. “Both violent and property crime is on the decline compared to previous years. However, it is paramount that we continue to curb illegal drug activity; and furthermore extend outreach programs to our youth and adults alike, to educate them on the dangers, and consequences of drug use.”
