Morgantown QB Logan Holgorsen commits to North Texas

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Morgantown junior quarterback Logan Holgorsen on Monday afternoon announced his verbal commitment to North Texas.

“After long conversations with my family and Coach (Seth) Littrell, I have decided to commit to the University of North Texas,” Holgorsen tweeted. “I want to thank everyone that has helped put me in the situation I am in today. Can’t wait to be a part of the Mean Green family.”

Holgorsen, the son of WVU head coach Dana Holgorsen, received D-I offers this past summer from both North Texas and Bowling Green.

Following a brief tenure at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore this season, Holgorsen returned to Morgantown High last month.

Overall, Holgorsen is 23 of 47 passing this season for 331 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in four games working back into the offense. As a sophomore last year, he threw for 1,355 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

North Texas is 4-2 so far this season and 3-0 in Conference USA play.
