Woman killed in Kanawha County crash

ST. ALBANS, W.Va. — A 19-year-old woman died from injuries suffered in a one-vehicle crash in Kanawha County Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

The wreck happened at around 2:30 p.m. when the driver lost control of the car and it crashed into a block building in the 300 block of MacCorkle Avenue near Oliver Street in St. Albans.

Brandy Pauley of St. Albans was treated at the scene but died later at the hospital. Two men were injured in the crash and are hospitalized in critical condition.  Authorities said they were unconscious at the scene.

A Kanawha County sheriff’s deputy investigating the crash told WSAZ-TV that it was weather-related. It was raining at the time.
