1 dead, 2 firefighters injured in Mercer County fire

BRAMWELL, W.Va. — One person died and two firefighters were injured in a house fire Wednesday.

According to the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, the resident of the home near Bramwell was someone with a disability.

One firefighter was transported to Bluefield Regional Medical center in order to receive treatment for burns. The second firefighter did not accept treatment.

A tanker truck had to be used because of the lack of hydrants in the area.

A cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
