Person dead in Logan County house explosion

WHITMAN, W.Va. — At least one person is dead following a house explosion Wednesday in Logan County.

The state Fire Marshal’s Office said the residence is in Whitman. A fire was reported after 2:30 p.m. along Upper Whitman Creek.

Authorities said they received reports of an explosion and found glass in the street upon arriving.
