Inmate captured after escaping van in Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — An inmate who escaped from the North Central Regional Jail is back in custody after being apprehended in Clarksburg Wednesday.

Zachary Taylor, 25, jumped from a moving van while being transported. Taylor was apprehended roughly an hour later not far from the intersection of Chestnut Street and Mulberry Avenue in Clarksburg where he escaped from the van.

Taylor is incarcerated on multiple charges out of both Harrison and Marion counties, as well as the U.S. Marshal Service of Northern West Virginia.
