CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Police investigating a Tuesday morning armed robbery in Charleston don’t have a lot to go on.
The man, wearing a black hooded sweat shirt and ski mask, robbed the 7-Eleven in the 3800 block of MacCorkle Avenue in Kanawha City at gunpoint around 3:45 a.m.
“The suspect displayed a black revolver, pointed it at the clerk and demanded cash,” said Charleston Police Chief Steve Cooper. “He received the cash and fled the scene.”
Nobody was injured in the incident. Cooper said about all they can tell is the suspect was a white male who possibly had blue eyes.
Cooper said police aren’t saying how much money the man made off with.
“He did get an undisclosed amount of cash. He did get money,” Cooper said.
