Two people dead in Logan County wreck

LOGAN, W.Va. — Two people died Wednesday in a car wreck in Logan County.

Authorities said the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on U.S. Route 119 near Old Logan Road.

West Virginia State Police identified the deceased as a couple from North Carolina. Troopers added they were married and in their late sixties.

According to troopers, the driver of the car likely pulled into the path of a passenger truck. The driver of the truck was not seriously injured.

A passenger in the backseat, a family member from West Virginia, was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center.
