Homicide investigation launched in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, W.Va. — A homicide investigation is underway after a body was discovered at a Clay County home.

West Virginia State Police said neighbors of a residence in Wallback called Wednesday after not seeing the victim.

When troopers arrived at the Left Fork Sandy Road residence, a man was found inside.

Authorities said they do have a person of interest, but that person’s name and the victim’s identity are not being released at this time.
