Woman killed in Preston County wreck was WVU sophomore

KINGWOOD — Police have identified the woman killed in an accident on Interstate 68 on May 9 as Tonya Rebecca Cesa, 20, of Morgantown.

Preston Sheriff’s Deputies released the name May 11. According to an earlier press release, Cesa was killed and a man injured when the 1999 Toyota they were in hit a road sign and two concrete bridge pillars.

The accident occurred in the westbound lanes of I-68, near the 16 mile marker. Cesa was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to her obituary, Cesa was a sophomore at WVU, majoring in photography, with a minor in business.
