Clarksburg murder suspect surrenders to police

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — The suspect of a fatal assault Friday night in Clarksburg is now in police custody.

Anthony James “A.J.” Williams, 32, of Clarksburg, surrendered himself to police late Monday afternoon. Williams was then taken for an arraignment before Harrison County Magistrate Frank DeMarco.

Clarksburg Police say Rodney Lee Long, Jr., 42, of Clarksburg, was the victim of a physical attack Friday night in the Arbutus Park section of Clarksburg and was found unresponsive at the scene. He later died as a result of his injuries.
