Mercer County head-on crash claims life

BLUEWELL, W.Va. — One person was killed in a head-on crash on state Route 20 in Mercer County Friday evening, authorities said.

The wreck occurred at around 5:30 p.m. in Bluewell.

One of the drivers died at the scene of the crash. A second person was taken by helicopter to a hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

Names of those involved were not immediately released.
