Clarksburg convenience store destroyed in fire

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Clarksburg convenience store was destroyed in a fire Monday.

Clarksburg authorities responded to North Pole Ice Co., located on Monticello Avenue, around 4:30 pm.

The main structure and a cold storage building were destroyed in the fire. A single-story house and warehouse near the store were damaged.

The Clarksburg Fire Department and West Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate.
