Violent robbery in Kanawha County leaves one hurt

CROSS LANES, W.Va. — A woman is in critical condition after a violent robbery of a Kanawha County gaming establishment Sunday evening.

Kanawha County deputies say the victim was the employee who worked at Tammy’s. She was attacked around 7 p.m. Sunday. The victim was stabbed in the neck and struck with a microwave during the robbery. Deputies say she was the only one in the establishment at the time.

The suspects were a man and woman, both white and both in their 30’s. The man was about six feet tall with a slender build. The woman was in her 30’s about 5′-6″ and 180 pounds she wore her hair in a bun and wore glasses..  According tot he victim the two came into the business and were there for a brief period of time before they decided to rob the place.   The pair left the establishment on foot carrying several duffel bags.

Authorities are reviewing video surveillance footage of the couple and hope it will lead to an identification and arrest.  It’s not known how much money they stole in the heist.
