CHARLESTON, W.Va. — More than two dozen West Virginia businesses exported their products to a new country for the first time during the past year.
Representatives of the 31 businesses were honored in a ceremony held at the state capitol Friday. They were given the Governor’s Commendation for International Market Entry Award.
“As we export more West Virginia products to the world, the world sees just how good West Virginia really is,” Gov. Jim Justice said in a news release. “These companies are our ambassadors, and we all should be so proud of their work.”
Some of the exported products were aluminum, bottled tea, hydraulic torque wrench, loadout systems, plastic compounds, threads and truck parts.
