Elkins police searching for missing woman, daughter

ELKINS, W.Va. — Elkins police are looking for a woman and her daughter who have not been seen since last week.

Laura Cool, 26, and her 22-month-old daughter were last seen in the Elkins area on Monday.

Police said Cool’s daughter is undergoing treatment for brain cancer, and the family reached out after missing several doctors appointments.

Authorities also said Cool has family in Morgantown and might be in that area.

Cool is described as having brownish-blonde hair and brown eyes, as well as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and around 140 pounds. She also has a heart tattoo on her neck and a tattoo of a cross on her lower back.
