Arrest made in Wood County arson

MINERAL WELLS, W.Va. — A Wood County woman allegedly set fire to an apartment after an argument with her boyfriend over his alleged drug use.

Courtney Klaseen, 31, of Mineral Wells, was arraigned Friday after being charged with first-degree arson in connection with a Thursday fire at Crown Manor Apartments in Mineral Wells.

According to a criminal complaint, Klaseen set one of her boyfriend’s shirts on fire and then threw some other shirts on the flames on the apartment’s back porch.

There were no injuries reported.

Klaseen is being held in the North Central Regional Jail on $200,000 bail.
