KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police released Thursday more information about a fatal wreck earlier in the week in Malden.

According to troopers, a truck traveling eastbound on U.S. Route 60 crossed the center line Wednesday afternoon, colliding with a car in the opposite lane. The crash was near the intersection of Jonquil Drive.

Authorities said Brian Cook, 39, and a juvenile died. Both were passengers in the car. Authorities pronounced the juvenile dead at the scene.

The woman driving the car, the driver of the truck and two passengers in the vehicle were listed Thursday in critical condition.
