Kanawha County man charged after domestic violence incident

CHARLESTON ,W.Va. – A Kanawha County man was charged Saturday with malicious assault after an argument with his father Friday escalated into violence.

Kanawha County sheriff’s deputies filed the charge against Jaycee Keeney, 21, of Sissonville.   Deputies said Keeney stabbed his father in an argument along Edens Fork Road in Kanawha County.

Keeney was shot in the the same incident.   According to deputies, the father pulled  a gun after being stabbed and shot his son..

Keeney was arrested Saturday after he was released from the hospital.  He’s now lodged in the South Central Regional Jail.
