Wheeling teen killed in Interstate 70 crash in Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. — A Wheeling teen is dead following a vehicle accident late Thursday night in Pennsylvania.

Authorities said the boy was a passenger in a vehicle on Interstate 70 West in North Franklin Township that struck a tractor-trailer from behind shortly before 11:30 p.m.

The boy was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene as the driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

A police report said the tractor-trailer was stopped in the right lane due to traffic and the driver of the rig was not injured.
