Mercer murder under investigation

BRUSHFORK, W.Va. — Foul play is suspected in the death of a man found Sunday in Mercer County.

According to state police, the body was located near an abandoned car on Dawson School Road in the Brushfork area.

Troopers told the Bluefield Telegraph they believe the man was killed some time between Saturday evening and early Sunday morning.

The man’s name, which was not released Sunday, is believed to be from the local area. Troopers said he was in his upper 30’s.
