Ohio man wanted for murder in Mingo County shooting

MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. — A Columbus man is wanted in connection with a murder in Mingo County.

Mingo County Sheriff’s Office said Kalyle Woods, 19, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Roger Marcum II.

Deputies said Marcum II was found dead in a creek after being shot multiple times on Friday in the Goodman Hollow area of the county.

“Fresh” is an alias of Woods and deputies said they believe he has left Mingo County.

Woods is also charged with the attempted murder of Randall Bowen.

The Mingo County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information to come forward by calling 304-235-0300 or 911.
