UPDATE: Raleigh County Sheriff’s deputies apprehended Baker in Beckley without incident.
ORIGINAL STORY: Authorities are looking for a man who escaped from the Beckley Correctional Center on Tuesday.
William Lee Baker, 41, was reported as escaped around 4:15 p.m. He is described as a work-release absconder.
He was serving up to 10 years for multiple charges, including fraud with an access device, breaking and entering, grand larceny, burglary by breaking an entering and operating or attempting to operate clandestine drug laboratories. The crimes were committed in Harrison, Lewis and Marion counties.
The state Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation described Baker as a male with brown/hazel eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 138 pounds.
He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a gray sweatshirt and an orange toboggan.
