One dead in vehicle accident involving coal truck in Boone County

RACINE, W.Va. — One person is dead following an accident between a coal truck and SUV in Boone County on Thursday morning.

Authorities said the fatal crash happened on Rt. 3 near Racine and the road is currently closed as of 9 a.m. Thursday.

One person in the SUV was killed and the driver of the coal truck was taken to the hospital with injuries.

No other details have been released.
