Kanawha County crash claims life

UPDATE 7:30 a.m. Monday 5/20   Victim identified as Jason Matthew Rollyson, 43, of Clendenin. Deputies say a juvenile relative was driving the vehicle and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

ELKVIEW, W.Va. — A person died in a crash that happened Saturday night near Elkview in Kanawha County.

According to deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department, a driver lost control of a vehicle on Ney Drive at about 7:46 p.m. The driver was injured and taken to CAMC General. The passenger died at the scene.

Names of those involved were not immediately released. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
