Winfield man killed in Putnam crash

SCOTT DEPOT, W.Va. — A Putnam County man died in a single car crash Friday morning at the intersection of U.S. Route 35 and the I-64 on ramp at Scott Depot.

According to Putnam County sheriff’s deputies, Brandon Scott Stover, 22 of Winfield, was heading south at around 3 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle It veered off the right side of the highway and slammed into a pair of light support poles.

Stover was pronounced dead at the scene
