Wheeling Police investigating armed robbery at gas station

WHEELING, W.Va. — A suspect in an armed robbery of a gas station Tuesday morning in Wheeling is being sought.

The Wheeling Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred at the Marathon Gas Station on 2060 National Road shortly before 2 a.m.

An employee told police that the suspect walked into the store and demanded money from the cash register while holding a knife.

Police said the suspect then fled the scene and went west on National Road.

The suspect is being described as a white male, skinny build, mid to late 20s, dark hair with facial hair, and wearing a green colored flannel shirt and dark colored jeans.
