Miss West Virginia exhibit opens Saturday at Culture Center

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A new exhibit will open Saturday at the state Culture Center on the history of the Miss West Virginia pageant.

The exhibition, titled “Pageantry with a Purpose: Celebrating 75 Years of the Miss West Virginia America Pageant,” will feature gowns, shoes and swimsuits by previous winners, including current Miss West Virginia Madeline Collins.

The exhibit is in the balcony gallery of the Norman L. Fagan State Theater.

The state Department of Arts, Culture and History will unveil the exhibit at 3 p.m.
