PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — A man turned himself in to authorities Wednesday morning in connection with a Tuesday stabbing death in Parkersburg.
Chester Lilly, 31, of Parkersburg, was charged with first degree murder. He’s being held in the North Central Regional Jail without bail.
Lilly allegedly stabbed and killed Travis Peters, 40, of Parkersburg. Addresses indicate the men were neighbors on Avery Street in Parkersburg. Peters’ was found at his residence at shortly afternoon Tuesday.
Lilly was also charged Wednesday with failure to register as a convicted sex offender.
Parkersburg police are continuing their investigation.
