Lincoln County man allegedly threatens to kill family judge

LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. — A criminal complaint in Lincoln County Magistrate Court says a man allegedly threatened to kill a county family judge over child custody hearings.

Lincoln County Family Judge Ron Salmons and Lincoln County Sheriff G.W. Linville filed the complaint in June that Michael N. Levandowski allegedly had threatened to kill Salmons.

The complaint states that Salmons provided an audio recording and a copy of some text messages where Levandowski allegedly stated would he would kill Salmons when he got the chance.

The threats were made by way of his ex-girlfriend, according to the complaint, as Levandowski allegedly stated in text messages that he was unhappy due to courts decision in a child custody and support hearing.

Levandowski is being charged with threats of terrorist acts, harassment, and assault.

Linville released a statement on Tuesday,” I will not tolerate any unprovoked act of violence towards anyone. I definitely will not tolerate an individual threatening someone for doing his or her job as a judge. Situations such as these are taken very seriously by myself and my office. I have absolutely no patience for someone who blatantly and deliberately disrespects the law, and shows an utter disregard for the liberties of a fellow human being.”
