Man dies after being trapped under vehicle

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — A man died in Marion County Thursday evening after a vehicle fell on top of him.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, Chad Heck, 44, of Fairmont, was working a vehicle at the Woodland Apartments on Airport Road when a car jack gave way trapping him under the vehicle.

Deputies said witnesses were able to lift the car off of Heck but his injuries were fatal.
