Some RISE West Virginia homes to undergo final inspection next week

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Some homes in the RISE West Virginia program are expected to undergo final inspection next week, according to the West Virginia National Guard.

The state National Guard said Friday 55 homes are in the construction phase, in which 19 residences are mobile home replacements, 20 homes are reconstruction projects, 12 are undergoing demolition and four homes are being rehabilitated.

West Virginia Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters worked on three reconstruction projects and four rehabilitation projects this week. Footers were dug and foundation work began at a project in Nicholas County.

The state National Guard said there are 391 active cases under the program.
