Arrest made in Mineral County double murder

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. — A man was arrested Tuesday in Jefferson County following a double murder in Mineral County.

Deputies with the Mineral County Sheriff’s Department along with members of the Potomac Highlands Narcotics and Violent Crimes Task Force and the Jefferson County Special Response Team took Jimmey Lee Lambert into custody at a home in Shenandoah Junction.

Lambert, 33, in charged in the shooting deaths of Burlington residents, Donald Rutter, 32, and Destiny Foster, 25. They were located in a residence near Burlington early Monday morning. Rutter died at the scene while Foster died at a hospital a short time later.

Lambert is being held without bail.

Authorities have not released a possible motive in the case.
