Berkeley County woman arrested following embezzlement charge

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Berkeley County woman was arrested Wednesday after being indicted earlier this month for stealing government property.

A federal grand jury indicted Crystal Tress, of Martinsburg, on Nov. 16 for embezzling more than $1,000 while employed at the Veterans Canteen Service.

The alleged crime happened between April 2018 and March 2019.

Tress faces up to 10 years in prison.
