Woman accused of making abduction allegation has trial pushed to April

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The trial of a woman who falsely accused a man of trying to kidnap her daughter has been pushed back to April.

The trial of Santana Adams was scheduled to start Friday.

Adams claimed an Egyptian man tried to abduct her 5-year-old daughter while at the Huntington Mall. Police later said security video showed a different version of events.

Charges against the man were dropped. Adams is accused of falsely reporting an emergency.
