Number of positive coronavirus cases increase to 145

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in West Virginia increased by 21 on Monday, the state Department of Health and Human Resources announced.

The number of positive cases is 145, with 3,682 cases coming back negative. One person has died because of the coronavirus.

Monongalia County has reported the most cases with 31, followed by Kanawha County with 23 positive cases reported to the state.

The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department announced Monday afternoon 31 positive cases.
