Man dies from injuries following Huntington shooting

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A Huntington man is dead following a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the city.

Interim Huntington Police Department Chief Ray Cornwell said that Houston Cook, 20, was shot and injured in the 600 block of 30th Street just after 2:30 p.m.

Cook was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he later was pronounced dead, officials said.

The victim was inside a home with multiple people and investigators are working to determine the involvement of each person.
