Arrest made in attempted murder case

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — Police arrested a man early Saturday morning on an attempted murder charge after a week long search for the suspect.

According to authorities, Joseph Ograbisz, 31, of Moorefield, was taken into custody outside a house in Moorefield.

Police began looking for Ograbisz last Sunday night after his former girlfriend had been stabbed multiple times during a domestic altercation.

The victim was found in a driveway on Cedar Street screaming for help. She was later transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Ograbisz is being held in the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail.
