CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Two universities are laying out their plans for the fall semester, which includes a return to campus activities.
Officials with Concord University and Westy Liberty University announced on Thursday preparations will be made for students to safely return to their respective campus in August.
Concord University President Kendra Boggess said a campus continuity planning committee has been discussing aspects of campus operations. Students, faculty and staff be required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
“We will test, we will trace contacts, and we will be ready to separate those who might be exposed from others,” she said.
West Liberty University President Stephen Greiner said modifications are possible.
“We have a chance to practice social distancing and create necessary procedures for the new semester in a hands-on way when our new class of Physician Assistant Studies graduate students join us at the end of June,” he said.
West Liberty’s summer term will take place online.
