CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Coronavirus testing numbers remained relatively flat in information released Wednesday morning by the state Department of Health and Human Resources.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases increased by 10 from Tuesday evening’s report to 1,248. The actual number of tests completed, 55,784, rose by 961 from the Tuesday evening report.
The state’s positive test rate is at 2.24. The DHHR said there remain 50 deaths in the state caused by COVID-19.
According to the numbers, 667 residents have recovered from COVID-19 while there remain 510 active cases. Sixty-six people are in the hospital.
