DHHR: Nearly 60,000 coronavirus tests have been administered in West Virginia

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Total coronavirus tests in West Virginia is approaching 60,000 in numbers released Friday morning by the state Department of Health and Human Resources.

The agency lists the total tests at 59,436. There have been 58,126 negative tests and 1,310 positive tests. The positive test rate Friday morning was 2.20 percent.

The number of deaths caused by COVID-19 in West Virginia remains at 51.
