Body pulled from Monongahela River

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — An investigation is underway after a man’s body was pulled from the Monongahela River in Morgantown Friday afternoon.

Morgantown police officers and firefighters were on the scene near the Walnut Street boat ramp.

The man was not immediately identified. The body was spotted in the river at around 1 p.m.

The state Medical Examiner’s Office is being asked to determine a probable cause of death.
