Huntington shooting claims juvenile’s life

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — .A juvenile is dead following what was initially reported as an accidental shooting.

Huntington police reported Thursday that the shooting occurred Wednesday afternoon at a residence in the 1000 block of 22nd Street. A juvenile died of a single gunshot wound.

“Detectives and forensics investigators are working to determine the facts surrounding the incident,” a city news release said.

The victim’s name has not been released.
